Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti is a non-political registered organization of farmers. After the success of the cumin movement in 1989, Mr. Vikram Singh Poonasa, who dedicated everything to the farmers, formed the Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti (RKSS) in 2008. In which the contribution of Late Shri Ram Singh Ji Siyana, Late Shri Chail Singh Ji Lur and Suresh Ji Vyas was important.
Farmers under the banner of Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti did a big farmer’s movement in Bhinmal district Jalore in 2013-2014 against the increase in electricity rates in the state, finally the government had to be forced and withdraw the increased electricity rates.
In 2014-2015, there was a big movement against gravel mafia in Bhinmal, Jalore and almost entire Rajasthan.
There is no drinking water and water for irrigation in three districts of western Rajasthan, Jalore, Barmer and Sirohi, here the underground water level has gone down a lot. The desert expansion is increasing in the area without water. In view of this water problem, Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti (RKSS) has been fighting since 2010 to get Mahi basin water in this area.

RAJASTHAN KISAN SANGHARSH SAMITI
Sh. Vikram Singh Poonasa is a well-known farmer leader of Rajasthan state of India, it is said about him that even after being lured by the government, he did not leave the side of the farmers and bowed down to the government. He was born on 1 July 1956 in Poonasa village of Jalore district of Rajasthan. He received his early and higher education from Bhinmal Jalore, and is a farmer by profession. He made his debut with the cumin movement in 1989 and since then has dedicated everything for the farmers and has always been fighting for the farmers. It was he who established the Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti (RKSS). Since 2010, "Mahi Muheem Andolan" has been running to bring Mahi basin water to Jalore, Barmer and Sirohi in western Rajasthan.
Sh. Badridan Narpura (Retd. Tehsildar) who is recognized as the person and farmer well-wisher who has applied maximum RTI on a single subject in the state. He was born on 03 January 1958 in Narpura village of Jalore district of Rajasthan. He got his early education from Narpura and higher education from Jalore. Mr. Badridan Narpura was selected in the government service on the post of Patwari on 06 August 1977 and retired from the government service on 31 January 2018 as Tehsildar. After retirement, he joined Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti (RKSS) to serve the farmers. In view of his good work, RKSS nominated him to the post of State President on 10 February 2019. Mr. Narpura got the works of the farmers done at a quick pace even while being in the government service. And for Mahi water, by applying more than 121 RTIs, he got more than 1795 copies, which has set a record in the state in itself, his resolve is to bring Mahi water in the area and serve the farmers.
